Polo Fields Headlines
The 2012 Polo Fields Neighborhood Yard Sale will be Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16 from 8am to 2pm.
If you would like to participate, please drop us a note. As we did last year, we will be creating a neighborhood map with participating houses marked. You can participate both days or just one, we will mark the map accordingly.
We are requesting a $1 fee to be used for advertising and signage which can be dropped off or mailed to 750 Dorgene Lane along with your name and address. (We do not have a mailbox, so just knock on the door, one of us works from home.)
The 2011 sale included over 60 homes, we look forward to another great year!!

Nichole Babinec, an instructor / coach with MAST, will be offering group swim lessons at the Dorgene Pool again this summer. There will be two sessions offered. See below for details and dates. The cost is $30.00 per child per session with the exception of Advanced, which is $45.00. Children must be 3 years old at the time of the session and potty trained to sign up. Due to the popularity of the program and fairness to all, YOU MUST be present to register your child on the date of registration NO EXCEPTIONS!

Hello All,
I wanted to make you all aware of a few trends we have noticed lately throughout Union Township. To all the ladies please make sure to keep your purses close to you, especially when loading groceries or bags into your cars at store parking lots. We have had a rash of purse snatchings involving suspects that pull up to a victim’s shopping cart in their car, snatch the purse and flee the scene. They have also been taking them right out of grocery carts left unattended inside stores.
We have also noticed a rash of car break-ins that involve car batteries being taken. Most victims had left their cars unlocked, allowing the suspect to get inside to pop the hood. These battery thefts fall along the same lines as copper thefts. Anything that can be stolen and exchanged for money is attractive to thieves.
Please keep your property locked at all times and do not leave items in your car or visible so that thieves target your vehicle.
Union Township Police
As a follow up to our previous communication, we want to remind all that there will be a continuation of surveillance throughout Polo Fields. Also, be reminded that the off duty patrol will ticket any violations for speeding/failure to stop at stop signs.
Prior notice ==> With the recent vehicle break-ins, the Neighborhood Watch Committee along with the Polo Fields Board of Directors has contacted Union Township Police and requested they provide additional surveillance, by off duty officer, who will patrol randomly throughout the week. This additional focus, on top of the routine patrol completed every day, will assist in deterring continued issues.
Please be aware that if patrolmen observe any issues, they will handle accordingly, including contacting homeowners during all hours of the day/night (as an example, for an open garage door during late night/early morning, they will knock on door or dispatcher will contact).
The call for this additional surveillance is to send a message to all (homeowners, visitors, individuals driving through development, etc), that we want our property safe.
As recommended before, if any homeowner observes anything unusual, immediately report it to Union Township Police, by calling 911 or 752-1230 (non-emergency).
